i did some digging and it seems to be an issue with the itch.io launcher app. going to the direct download in my internet browser allows me to access the game! :)
This game is pretty fun! I'd like so the car lights would have a longer range, and also some rooms wouldn't be lit so well (this would add extra intensity to the game)
